Your health coverage is changing. We’re here to help.
At Kaiser Permanente, the health and well-being of our members is at the heart of everything we do. That’s why we’re here to help you understand the changes coming in 2026, how they will affect you, and how we can support you — including actions you must take to remain a member. We’re making several thoughtful adjustments to our Medicare health plan offerings so we can continue to provide you with high-quality care for years to come.
You should have received a letter informing you that your Medicare health plan will close at the end of the year. We’ll support you every step of the way as you choose a new Kaiser Permanente Medicare Advantage HMO plan, so you can continue to see the same clinicians and receive the top-rated integrated care you know and trust.1
Upcoming changes for 2026
- On December 31, 2025, we’re closing some Medicare health plans and reducing the service area of 1 plan.
 - If your plan is closing at the end of the year, you must enroll in a new 2026 plan option by December 31, 2025 to avoid a gap in Kaiser Permanente coverage.
 - On January 1, 2026, your new plan will begin.

We’ll still offer Medicare plans throughout Washington, and you have several options to choose from.
Choose a new health plan
You can submit enrollment applications starting October 15, 2025, and you must re-enroll by December 31, 2025, for a January 1, 2026 effective date to avoid a lapse in Kaiser Permanente coverage. If you do not re-enroll by December 31, your Kaiser Permanente coverage will end.
Our team is here to answer your questions, explain your benefits, and guide you through the enrollment process. You have several convenient options to get in touch with us.
